### Video JPBD & ITBD hybrid Denoised, Rescale/AA (Flashbacks not rescaled), Debanded, Regrained For the regraining in flashbacks I attempted to match the source sharpness and stabilized it quite a bit. Also got rid of a lot of the blocky parts of the grain without nuking too much if any actual detail. Overall you end up with something less dynamic but a lot more consistent and considerably less starved. ### Audio - Japanese 2.0 Opus (JPBD) - English 2.0 Opus (USBD) - German 2.0 Opus (DEBD) ### Subs - English [[MTBB](/view/1585260)] restyled to match my other Abyss stuff with improved TS in EP2 from P9 ED styling from [Zahuczky](/user/Zahuczky), OP TL from Zedjones and OP "Styling" from me. - German (DEBD sourced) OCR, TPP'd, Restyled, Typesetting & Song Styling from existing english subs. ----------------- Comps: [EP01](https://slow.pics/c/D2Fe7zhm) | [EP10](https://slow.pics/c/TCmPu94y) | [Grain EP01](https://slow.pics/c/lySob6BK) MediaInfo: [EP01](https://bin.disroot.org/?2d8ab7cad01a7d40#BoMYv1pJKzGZsEgp4sEHopZNbVKnf6boKvpTHj9meZMT) | [EP10](https://bin.disroot.org/?7730b36e3bbb3777#EvGPputt5dmpgrP9LtQJ15aEWCV7iz4x5ByCzE7v2o8H) ----------------- #### Why should I grab this over MTBB? - Slightly less starved (probably impossible to see for the vast majority of people) - Better rescale from ep9 on - If you like my graining on the flashback scenes (I wouldn't call one objectively better than the other) - If you like dubs or are german :) #### Why did this take so long? - I'm lazy - I suck at keeping my attention up for very repetitive work (fixing OCRs) ‎ #### I will now go back to my slumber

don't jinx it
Will you be doing the Papa to Issho special?

User
Maybe. I don't care too much about it so there's a good chance I won't
There is some episode in ur grain, bro
For all the hullabaloo, the visual were botched with superficial grain. Not recommended.

I am deeply hurt now that random nyaa user 1 doesn't recommend my encode
*Sips tea* What a waste of a perfectly good ITBD, mon chéri v2 when?
just remux the itbd then if you want its starved grain lol
So what would be like the best way to watch the series ,what releases are the highest quality ? Size doesn't matter.

The comps cover everything. Just decide for yourself lol
Sorry for being that guy, but... RaptoR jinxed, blame him lol It doesn't even matter if a person can or can't hear the difference between FLAC and Opus now. I'll give three reasons for why. First, if you train your ears for 5, 10, or 20 years, you will improve your sensitivity and will be able to appreciate the little details of the sound experience, especially if combined with my second reason. Second, let's say I have a $500 audio system, and in 10 years I can improve to a $50000 one. Why the fuck would I choose to limit my experience by software? Is it not better to limit it by my hardware? It's like defending hardsub. Third, and maybe the most important of all, is it worthy of the memory save? My Opus project is 100 GB, and my FLAC is 105 or 115? Does it really matter? If it was 200 GB with FLAC, I would consider it, but defending this little? Are you guys that desperate for space? Or do you just want to reinvent the wheel and are trying to be different? For example, I never download BD Remuxes because I don't feel that the monstrous size of them is worthy at all. And a quality encode with proper filtering is better anyways compared to the raw video.
>First, if you train your ears for 5, 10, or 20 years, you will improve your sensitivity and will be able to appreciate the little details of the sound experience, especially if combined with my second reason. Second, let’s say I have a $500 audio system, and in 10 years I can improve to a $50000 one. First, you'll only lose hearing with age, stop coping Second, it's not gonna matter because Opus at those bitrates is more than transparent, there's not gonna be any difference with lossless

"waiting for the Opus cope in the comments" said the comment. The die had been cast. Audiophiles around the world were fuming. "I can definitely hear the difference, in fact, I can SEE the lucious sound waves traveling through the air to massage my ear canals at full lossless 24 bits per sample." Two long years of engineering to find a solution to turn the tainted lossy paupers into the Holy Lossless Empire. "We need a weapon that can surpass Metal Gear... You there, yes, you, ZoldyckP. You will be our sacred messenger. We grant you the fruits of our long and arduous labor, our two most powerful spells to date: the reverse size argument and the hypothetical god audio setup argument. Stay strong and stay lossless, brother." He set off on the divine journey to the streets to Nyaa. Hmm? What's that? Made in Abyss with heretic Opus audio? A cold shiver ran through his spine at the mere thought of all the missing bits. Won't someone think of the audiophiles? He started furiously typing, the bulging veins in his forehead nearing breaking point. He pressed Submit and sat back, waiting for the grand reception of their new lossless patriarch. But nothing, merely the silence in his head. "Why isn't everyone applauding? Why am I not getting a standing ovation for opening their eyes and—most importantly—ears to the truth? I used the best of the best audiophiles have been able to craft." How using unnecessarily large and indistinguishable audio on encodes makes sense, but downloading lossless remuxes is too much." 'Are you guys that desperate for space?' he said. No response, the desperation was starting to creep in. "Not yet, for I have one more trick up my sleeve."
"How about this?" He starts muttering while pointing at the holy grail of audio, the Sennheiser HE 1 headphones. A Noki-tier hypothetical of a $50,000 pair of headphones with a high voltage amplifier integrated into the ear cups, representing the pinnacle of headphone technology. "What if, hypothetically, in the future, I had these? Maybe then I could hear a difference. That's right, you didn't think about that, did you?" Pure silence. Silence so deafening he could hear his own heretical lossy thoughts. "Was I wrong all along? Was paying a thousand dollars for a single cable a scam after all?" Then, finally, a singular reply to his preaching from the unamused crowd of Nyaa veterans: "Have you done an ABX test? And did you include the untouched log with the checksum for proof?" Cure yourself, for you are diseased. https://www.head-fi.org/threads/setting-up-an-abx-test-simple-guide-to-ripping-tagging-transcoding.655879/#post-9268096
Wow, 10 minutes and I'm already receiving messages. O.O Nyaa users are really something else. "First, you’ll only lose hearing with age, stop coping" Yes, you'll lose your high frequency hearing. But, I don't know you, I watch anime for 15+ years and I definitely hear better now than when I started. "new copypasta dropped" I like this one, simple and short. I have to give my standing ovation for RaptoR tho. You are incredible *applause*. You are good with words, but it seems that math is your problem. Opus is not efficient enough to justify using it, simple as that. Thanks for the fun, it was awesome seeing your projection.
