Kai was originally scored by Kenji Yamamoto, who was fired in 2011 for plagiarism with only three episodes left in the series. As a result music composed by Shunsuke Kikuchi for DB/Z was reused for the last three episodes, was ported over to the uncut English dub beginning with episode 53, and eventually replaced the entirety of the original score in all languages. Both official versions of the Yamamoto and Kikuchi scores are present in this release at the highest quality available. 2. Episodes 53-95 of the English dub with Yamamoto score were never officially released by FUNimation. In 2014, [SuperSaiyanHedgehog](https://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27787) began reinserting the official Yamamoto score placements into the English dub for the remainder of the series, however this was not done losslessly. Mr Yosha has since redone a few episodes losslessly, which are presented here. 3. Episodes 96-98 were never officially released in any language with the Yamamoto score. SuperSaiyanHedgehog, with assistance on placements from Kei17, created a custom score for those episodes. In 2024 those placements were added to the Japanese track by SpeedoX, with additional work done by yugidmx5. While we normally do not include fan rescores, they are included here for completionism. 4.
