The second full-length animated feature from Koufuku no Kagaku (幸福の科学, also known as The Institute for Research in Human Happiness, or colloquially, Happy Science). **This anime is religious propaganda.**
*The Laws of the Sun* (*Taiyou no Hou: El Cantare e no Michi*) is an adaptation of a manga by Happy Science founder Okawa Ryuhou. It provides an alleged history of the universe from before the Big Bang through the life of Buddha. AniDB summed it up this way: "Second anime movie made for the Japanese cult Kyoufuku no Kagaku... presumably containing more pseudohistory and moral bunkum." A [reviewer](http://www.themanime.org/viewreview.php?id=1465) said, "Like apparently every film in this series, this is a beautifully animated, but hopelessly overwrought and horribly dubbed mashup of every religion and myth you've ever encountered."
The video and Japanese audio are from a QTS DVD rip. The English audio and subtitles are from Kyoufuku no Kagaku's official YouTube channel and are presumably authoritative. The OCR'd subtitles have been corrected, retimed, and then lightly edited for grammar, punctuation, and in a few cases, excess compression and omission of phrases.
This (and other QTS-remuxes of Happy Science anime movies) has been floating around BakaBT and other private trackers [for more than a decade](https://collectr.blogspot.com/2014/07/confession.html). Why should they be the only anime communities to suffer?
Again, before downloading this movie or, worse yet, watching it, I urge a prospective viewer to read the blog, the referenced review, and comments that have been made about other Happy Science flicks. **You have been warned.**
