Typesetting could make the screen chug or even fail to render entirely, and the QCer would often give it the thumbs up. Nowadays, we have benchmarking tools to prevent this, not to mention a better understanding of how to make TS more performant in general. The typesetting in this release doesn't lag mpv (at 1440p, which is what I was able to test at). This was accomplished through applying modern knowledge to make signs more efficient, eliminating parts of signs that were especially laggy, and, in some unfortunate cases, simply hardsubbing. The episodes with hardsubbing are 08 (14:15), 10 (7:12, 14:17), and 11 (11:15, 17:31). So this release is already an affront to nature. But it gets worse! Originally, I made encodes with filtering that was carefully and delicately calibrated so as not to mess with the image more than necessary. But when I sat down to actually watch the show, I couldn't stand the end result. So I made new encodes that nuked the aliasing and haloing with extreme prejudice. In conclusion, this release is meant to suit my own personal tastes. No one else should watch it. Set your media player to play "enm" language tracks by default to automatically play honorifics tracks. The subtitles for this release may be difficult for some users to play.
